Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champers in the other, body dirty, sunburnt, wrinkled and thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "Yah Hoo, Whatta Ride!"
A first-time mother gives a frank assessment of what it's like to be pregnant and a new mum in Canberra. Includes tips on what NOT to do or say, and how to handle two sets of everything as she tries to appease Eastern and Western philosophies on kid wrangling. While looking hawt. And happy. :o)
I could tell you I'm some Supermum who has it all - perfectly manicured nails and sex 6 times a week - but I'd be LYING! Instead I'm a crazy chick who takes on too much and can't relax. Give me some comfy gear and a bag of snakes from the fundraising box and I'm all yours. In fact that's the way I started Mouths of Mums. It's a space where Mums can share their motherhood experiences and connect with other mothers for support, fun, friendship, advice or just a virtual pat on the back. We put you in touch with some of the newest products, services and ideas relevant to you and you tell us what you think. At Mouths of Mums, its all about you and its where your say really counts.
SquiggleMum: a mother's heart - a teacher's mind - a writer's handI am a teacher-turned-mother currently being raised by two amazing little kids. I squiggle about a range of topics regarding parenting and education. I particularly love sharing ideas about literacy, play, outdoor education and family values. Through blogging I have the opportunity to share my heart for mothering and my thoughts about learning. (Plus I get to review and give away amazing products for Aussie families!)
The musings of a 20-something mother, who thinks too much, and is not very good at cooking or sewing or making beautiful things. Despite my best efforts.Oh, and amongst all my ramblings, you can join me on my soapbox, as I begin my crusade to find out about the cause (should that be curse?) of childhood allergies. What on earth is going on? And why don't doctors have a clue?
"Childhood is a journey, not a race."I am a proud Mum, an annoying wife, a domestic disaster and a passionate early childhood teacher and writer. I write to inform, educate and inspire parents to be the best they can be, creating happy, memorable childhood for their children.
Musings on our life, this sometimes bumpy journey of mothering three sweet, lively girls and striving for a balanced, wholesome life. A stay at home mother living in Melbourne, Australia. And mostly, loving it. But sometimes, spending way too much time on Facebook.

I live in Perth, Western Australia. It's a gorgeous city. Beautiful beaches, great pubs & restaurants, very cool parks and drivers that just DO NOT know how to merge! I live with my husband, 3 children, a dog, 10 fish and a heap of ants that have decided my kitchen looks like a great place to set up a new home. We run our own small business - my husband is a painter & I sell books on Ebay. My memory is terrible so I thought I could use this as a way for us to remember the things our kids have done, and what is happening in our family. My on-line diary.
