This blog is about an Aussie who lived in Hong Kong but has since moved back to Canberra. Whilst in Hong Kong, I learnt Mandarin, Mahjong (Cantonese Style), Photography, Chinese Cooking and Chinese Knots. I hope to share some of my skills (mostly Chinese Cooking) with the Canberra foodie community. I will also include random favourites such as French macaroons and some oldies but goodies from my mum and nanna.
Born in Canberra in 1963 at the old Canberra Hospital I lived at Duntroon before moving to the new suburb of Pearce at the base of Mount Taylor where I grew up in the 60's and 70's. I am an amateur historian fascinated with the ACT regions history and heritage. This blog is a reminder of places I visit and things I research.

I
I'm in my 40's, living in beautiful sunny Canberra, Australia's capital city. Married, with 2 kids. Somewhat quirky, some would say black, sense of humour. Probably too much of a cynic, a bit of a sarcastic bastard. This blog is for my musings, rantings and ravings about any old crap that attracts my attention.
Wandering round Canberra and the world. Cooking. Crafting. Miniature making. And living frugally.
