I think as Australians, we can all sigh with relief that we were not hit by Hurricane Sandy.
Did you know we don’t have hurricanes – we have cyclones… They are the same except they spin in opposite directions due to the Coriolis Effect.
A friend on Long Island who has been severely inconvenienced by Hurricane Sandy sent me this gorgeous photo of the season’s first snow storm – which is VERY premature.
It’s inspiring to see nature’s beauty amongst the ruins and devastation.
I know it’s hard, but it’s always better to focus on the positive…
