Gabrielle Bryden is an Australian writer and poet living in a small village on the shores of Hervey Bay, Queensland. She is also an autism advocate and mother of a child with high functioning autism or Asperger's syndrome. Her blog includes poetry, stories, photography, and articles on autism spectrum disorder.

I'm highly versed in the art of underachieving, so much so that I'd have to say that it is my greatest achievement to date. Underachievers like me have taken the easy option all our lives, settled for second best, been satisfied with the unsatisfactory. But spurred on by an overwhelming feeling of dissatisfaction lately, I have made the decision to turn things around,and achieve something really exciting before I turn fifty. I might write a book! I might run the New York Marathon! I might score a guest gig on The Circle!

A collection of my creative writing pieces that I have been writing over the last few years. Blog posts include pieces that have been submitted into university creative writing classes, as well as some newer works. Works can be classified as creative non-fiction and fiction, poetry and stories. There are many diferent topics that are covered but most stem from personal experiences or thoughts: hence the title of my blog page "Daydreams, Nightmares and Realities".

A Flawed Mind is the blog of designer, writer and creative Marcus Baumgart. At A Flawed Mind Marcus reflects on a wide range of topics relevant to design, architecture, urbanism, thinking, creativity and writing. Marcus is based in Melbourne, Australia.

In December 2008, I took the plunge and moved 'back home' to the south coast of NSW with my husband and two boys in tow. Not to a glamorous farmhouse with picturesque cows and verdant pastures. Nor to a contemporary glass-and-steel sand castle beside pristine waters. Nope, I washed up in a pink 1960s fibro, slap bang in the middle of a not-city town. Here, I manage motherhood, freelance writing, my ambitions to be a novelist and the day-to-day getting on with it of life in a pink fibro.

I'm an Australian author writing for young people. My site contains lots of blogs about the world of writing, so make a cuppa and drop in some time!

Much of what I will write here will be about living in Tropical North Queensland as a thirty-something year old woman, mother, sister, aunty, friend and evolving spirit grappling with existence in this life I have chosen. I look forward to sharing the lucid dreamscapes that inhabit my nocturnal consciousness, reflections that arise from contemplative afternoons spent on my ever-sunny balcony, the passions that may unexpectedly rise from the depths within me, and the lows that sometimes grab me from around dark corners.
